Alianza Lima published a statement on Wednesday in which it condemns an ill-advised publication by Movistar’s Twitter account about the final of the Women’s League. This is how it is read on the social networks of the intimate club.

The sports institution points out that the post presents a “inappropriate way to our women’s soccer team, current champion of the Women’s League and the Peruvian team with the best performance in the history of the Women’s Copa Libertadores”.

“Our institution has been betting seriously and professionally on women’s soccer, as evidenced by the 7 results obtained in all categories and the team’s classification to the final of the 2022 national tournament”, it reads.

Alianza Lima highlighted the virtues of his team and stressed that he will not allow “a mistreatment of our women’s team or our club”. “We are very proud of the performance of our soccer players on and off the pitch, as they are an example of values, courage and a sense of belonging to the Alliance colors,” he added.

In this sense, the institution demands a public apology from Movistar Deportes. “A publication that affects the image of our club and that represents a lack of respect for the women of the Alliance”he added.
