Cuba and South Africa strengthen relations in the field of Education

With the presence of an African delegation chaired by Mrs. Angelina Matsie Motshegka, Minister of Basic Education of the Republic of South Africa and by Her Excellency Mrs. Yvonne NkwnkweziPhosa, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa in Cuba, it takes place on the island from Last September 18 and until next September 26, a broad work agenda whose main objectives are to verify the Cuban experience in Early Childhood Education, Technical and Professional Education and Educational Technology, as well as define new actions, in the areas of interest , from the extension of the Collaboration Agreement between the governments of Cuba and South Africa on professional services, in the field of Basic Education.
The program that began on Sunday the 18th with the reception and yesterday, Monday, with the visit to educational institutions in the province of Pinar del Río, continued this morning with a visit to the Fidel Castro Center. Subsequently, a meeting was held with the Minister of Education of the Republic of Cuba, Dra.C Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, where the First Vice Minister Cira Piñeiro Alonso, the National Directors of Early Childhood, of Education, were also present on the Cuban side. Technical and Professional and a representative of the Minrex.
As part of the planned activities, visits to educational centers in Havana, conferences and a visit to the Cinesoft Computer and Audiovisual Media Company are also included.
