The Judiciary evaluated this Wednesday the fiscal request of 36 months of impediment to leave the country against the former Minister of Transport and Communications, Geiner Alvarado Lopezinvestigated as the alleged operator of a criminal organization headed by the president peter castle.

During the hearing, the former minister’s lawyer, Percy Ipanaqué, announced that they acquiesce to the request of the Public Ministry. Days ago he delivered his passport.

The Public Ministry requested this measure to protect the investigation, shortly after Congress censured Alvarado, for the alleged irregular acts that he would have committed when he was Minister of Housing, Construction and Sanitation.

The former Minister of Housing is being investigated for the alleged crime of criminal organization, together with Castillo, for allegedly having arranged for officials and businessmen to benefit from projects tendered in the Municipality of Anguía (Chota, Cajamarca), Chachapoyas (Amazonas) and other locations.

Last week, after the tax request was known, Alvarado’s lawyer, Percy Ipanaqué, announced that they will comply with the requirement to prevent them from leaving the country.

On Saturday the 17th, it was learned that Geiner Alvarado had renounced having the police protection that corresponds to him as a member of the Executive’s Cabinet. In the document, both the censored minister and Major PNP Segundo Tarrillo Pérez, head of the State Security Subunit, sign the waiver to have security personnel.

The document where the security service was ruled out was signed at 8:10 am but, at 10 am of the same day, the same people signed another document in which it was established that the police personnel would once again protect Geiner Alvarado.
