Ikea announces the opening in 2023 of a new store in the Community of Madrid

Ikea will open a new store in the Community of Madrid in the second half of 2023. It will be in the town of Leganésspecifically in the Westfield Parquesur shopping center, and its arrival comes to “complete its current commercial, gastronomic and leisure offer for all audiences with its assortment of furniture and decoration“, as explained by the Swedish multinational in a statement.

Ikea has chosen Westfield Parquesur for this new opening “because it is a shopping center whose values ​​of sustainability and commitment with the community are fully aligned with our firm commitment to having a positive impact on the planet and people”.

The new urban point of sale will have a total extension of 5,200 square meters, divided into 2 floors: 2,953 m2 on the ground floor and 2,263 m2 on the first floor where you can find 2,500 products for direct sale. In addition, the entire range can be purchased on-line.

In this sense, and to ensure access to the entire assortment from this new point in Leganés, Ikea will also offer services in its new store. Click&Collect (the customer buys online and collects the products in the store) and Order&Collect (The customer orders the order in the store itself and picks it up later on an agreed day).

Project under construction

Nowadays, the project is under construction by the owner of said commercial area. When this stage is over, Ikea will take over from the work.

In this way, the company reinforces its firm commitment to Madrid, where in the next two years it expects a investment of 40 million euroscreate around 450 jobs and the opening of more than 10 new points of contact with the client.
