in the face of uncertainty, calm analysis — Inese

At the Inter-European Insurance and Reinsurance Meeting (ENTRE) it is impossible to get bored. It is not because throughout its history it has addressed matters of greatest interest to professionals in the sectorr, is that the programs of the latest editions seem made by experts in science fiction literature, the most difficult yet. Thus, we have gone from being the protagonist of a serious pandemic with significant social, economic and future repercussions for the insurance industry itself, to that of the uncertainty derived from the invasion of Ukraine and the chain effect on which it is daring to predict an end.

For this reason, after the inaugural cocktail, this very special edition, the fortieth, will open with a presentation on the ‘Economic prospects in the face of a new global geopolitical situation’ and will dedicate some of its sessions to see how it will affect inflation, doped by the effect of the war, to the income statements of the companies and the main branches, before the next renewals. An issue that will undoubtedly arouse the interest of financial and technical directors.

Furthermore, experts from this edition, which will be held in Madrid on October 5, 6 and 7, they will calmly analyze the changes that are already affecting the insurance industry or those that are yet to come. In some cases, to minimize the impact (catastrophic risks, longevity…) and in others to anticipate (Ruschlikon, mobility or application of telematics).

The conclusions of the ‘World Consumer Study 2022’developed by ReMark, adaptive predictive underwriting models and the impact of enforcement IFRS-17 These will be other aspects that the program will address.
