Ezequiel Tovar received the call from the Colorado Rockies and could debut in the Major Leagues. The young slugger of the Rockies will join the team this Thursday, September 22. Tovar is the No. 2 prospect for the Violet Farm and No. 28 on MLB Pipeline’s top 100 prospects. Journalist Daniel Álvarez reported the call, later confirmed by the MLB reporter Thomas Harding.
Tovar, 21, was based in the Triple A affiliate of Albuquerque. In 21 at-bats he batted .333/.391/.476 offensive line with one homer and two RBIs. He spent most of the year in the Double-A Rockies.

With his promotion to MLB and possible debut, Ezequiel Tovar would be the 466th Venezuelan to debut in the Major Leagues and the 24th in the current season. This, according to the Meridian listing.
