The meeting of the CGPJ ends again without an agreement on the Constitutional Court

The meeting between the members of the CGPJ who negotiate the appointments of two Constitutional magistrates has ended again no agreement and no date for a third meetingwhen a plenary session is held on the 29th that coincides with the Justice Commissioner’s visit to Spain, Didier Reynders.

The meeting has ended as expected, without an agreement, because although the progressives had put the names of nine candidates on the table, the conservative sector insists that it still cannot find Supreme Court justices willing to runas they maintain since the beginning of the negotiations.

Sources from the conservative bloc defend that “they have not received any official or unofficial candidacy within the groupbeyond a mere brief, informal and initial contact maintained by a single person with a member on an individual basis”.
